The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is a completely independent charitable organisation, with the aim of helping people in need by enabling access to education and training. Due to this support, the people have a chance to increase their quality of life and their qualifications, which would otherwise not be available to them.
During the establishment of the foundation in May 2008 the following guiding principle was laid down: “Preserving life through education.” In the long-term, education enables protection of the most basic needs and opens many new perspectives and opportunities.
The aim of the Foundation is to select projects and to independently implement and finance them. This way no additional sponsorship is necessary. The Foundation mainly supports families, groups, communities etc, not individuals.
A fixed portion of all purchases made by the Lyoness shopping community goes direct to the Child & Family Foundation. Additionally, the Foundation is supported by grants from Lyoness. The generated budget is used to implement national and international projects, following strict criteria.
The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is based in Buchs (Switzerland), from where the foundation board operates. The central administration and the organisational operation are based in Austria.
