Thanks to your support, the Child & Family Foundation was able to achieve a great deal this year!
12/21/2011The year 2011 is coming to an end and the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation looks back with great joy and pride. We would like to share with you the achievements that were made possible with the support of the Lyoness Community. With this purpose, here you will find a brief overview of some of our projects, which were made possible thanks to your help.
International Projects 2011
The Child & Family Foundation was able to do great things again this year through your purchases. Our international projects, the building of a school in Honduras and the school renovation in the Philippines, have progressed a great deal and were remarkably implemented in a very short time.
internat. projects:
National Projects 2011
Likewise, several smaller but no less important projects in Europe and in the US could also be implemented. Schools, children´s homes and facilities in Poland, Slovenia, Romania, Czech, Croatia, Slovakia, Switzerland and also in Austria could be supported. A lot has been achieved!
Altogether, the Child & Family Foundation has helped over 2,000 children and their families with 16 projects and positively impacted their lives this year.
This would not have been possible without your support!
Nearly 4,900 kilometers non-stop – Christoph Strasser rides for the Foundation and wins the world´s toughest bicycle race!
Christoph Strasser, the ultra-cyclist world champion 2007 and 2010, won the world´s toughest race, the Race Across America (RAAM), in only 8 days. The ambassador of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation and supporter of the Foundation´s guiding principle “Preserving Life Through Education” triumphed with a top performance! We followed his fantastic journey across America with great excitement and are still very proud of him!
The new Lyoness Child & Family Foundation mascot!
The new Child & Family Foundation mascot was presented at this year´s Sensation in Budapest. Initially, he did not have a name. However, thanks to our great community on Facebook, the most popular name was selected: our sweet blue haired lion is now officially named Lyco! A big thank you to Lisa, the person who suggested the name, and to all those who voted for it!
We wish to each one of you happy and peaceful holidays and a wonderful start to the New Year 2012! We also count on your support next year so we can continue to do good!
