The Opening of the Greenfinity Garden project in the Philippines!

2014/03/11
On Wednesday the 26th February, the Greenfinity Foundation Garden project in the Philippine San Roque Elementary School was opened with a big celebration.

It was attended by 470 pupils and their parents, the School Director, numerous teachers, the Mayor and representatives of the Department of Agriculture.

As part of the project, the GFF is creating a sustainable biological garden including natural fertiliser, which will be used to provide the school with fresh vegetables. The parents will learn these gardening methods, sso they are able to implement them at their own homes. This way, the malnutrition, and lack of food will be counteracted.

At the opening, the children enjoyed sewing the first seeds. They are looking forward to being able to harvest the first vegetables.

To make the day even more special, the parents who took part in the Child & Family Foundation ‟Health and Nutrition Programme” made everyone a healthy snack, which everyone enjoyed.
