Inauguration of the Greenfinity Garden Project in the Philippines

On Wednesday, February 26th, the Greenfinity Foundation inaugurated the Garden Project in the San Roque Elementary School, located in the Philippine island of Leyte.

Among those present were 470 students and their parents along with the school principal, numerous teachers, the mayor and representives of the Department of Agriculture.

As part of the project the GFF creates a sustainable biological garden including natural fertilizer to supply the school with fresh vegetables. The parents will learn this to use cultivation method and put it in practice at home. Practicing this cultivation method can help to reduce and prevent malnutrition and undernourishment.

During the inauguration, the children were excited to sow the first seeds and look forward to harvesting the first crops.

To mark the occassion, all participating in the “Health and Nutrition Program“ of the Child & Family Foundation prepared healthy snacks which were enjoyed by everyone present.
