Frequently asked questions about online shopping with Lyoness
|
Log onto www.lyoness.net and then run a loyalty merchant search to find the appropriate online store for your needs. Once you have found the online shop you want, click on the logo of the loyalty merchant or on the online shop button. The site you select will open in a new window. From there you can shop as usual, following the Conditions of Use of the given loyalty merchant. Since you enter the online shop through the Lyoness website, you are recognized as being a Lyoness member and your purchase is recorded. (Important: Please note that with online shopping the Lyoness benefit you receive is generally based on the net value of your purchase with few exceptions. Postage and packing or handling charges are not included in calculating the Lyoness benefit.)
Your Lyoness benefits are credited in the form of reimbursements to the account you stipulate as soon as your purchase is complete, taking into account applicable exchange deadlines and delivery periods in accordance with the settings you entered in "My Lyoness/My Lyoness benefits/options". As soon as an amount of at least € 10 builds up in your cash account, it is transferred to your bank account.
Check the settings in your browser, anti-spyware and antivirus program to be sure they all allow cookies. That is the prerequisite for you being recognized as a Lyoness member and your purchase being recorded and reimbursed. Your browser is not permitted to use any ad blocker or script blocker either while you are shopping at online retailers'. That is why you should check your browser settings prior to going shopping!
You are able to see your purchase in your Lyoness online office within 24 hours under the option "My purchases"/"Pending purchases". Your Lyoness benefit is credited to your cash account as soon as your purchase is complete, taking into account applicable exchange deadlines and delivery periods. The entire process can take up to 120 days depending on how fast the merchandise was delivered or how you paid as a member. The sooner you complete your purchase, the sooner you will get money back in your account.
No, sorry. There is no way to trace your purchase procedure at a later point in time.
As long as the online-shopping loyalty merchant you choose accepts gift cards then you can, of course, pay for any purchase using gift cards and you will receive your reimbursement based on the full price of the purchase.
If you received a gift card issued by one of our loyalty merchants for online shopping as a promotional gift, then you may also use this to pay for your purchase. However, in this case, Lyoness will only reimburse you for any amount remaining following deduction of the gift card value.
For example, if you purchase goods for a total of US$ 100 and your gift card is worth US$ 15, you only receive a reimbursement on the remaining US$ 85. If you pay the full amount with gift cards you received as promotional gifts, you get no reimbursement.
It can take up to 120 days before your purchase is fully completed depending on the exchange deadlines and delivery times of the loyalty merchants involved.
You receive the reimbursement for your purchase in your cash account as soon as the loyalty merchant completes the billing and renders the payment.
Please note that any complaints must be made promptly but at the latest within seven days of making the purchase. Any complaints made after that seven-day period will not be accepted by the pertinent online shop. To allow us to respond as quickly as possible, please send us your receipt, together with the final payment amount in digital form as soon as possible.

Depending on the online shop, your reimbursement is calculated based on the net or gross value of your purchase, less the value of any gift cards, postage and packing costs and any handling charges. To find out whether a store bases the calculation on the net or gross value, please read the relevant loyalty merchant's description. Most of the international loyalty-merchant stores base the Lyoness benefit on the net value due to the different tax rates involved.
All members can run loyalty merchant searches to find and access loyalty merchants in other countries included in the online shopping portal.
However, the agreement between the online shops and Lyoness generally applies only for the countries in which the online shop is listed.
Some loyalty merchants are listed in just one country while others are listed in several. That is because some online shops are not represented themselves in certain countries so that another vendor has the sales rights for that country and other shops are not allowed to be active there. Or the shop in the other country could be a fellow company with which no agreement has yet been made. Ottoversand.at, for instance, is an Austrian company that is allowed to deliver in Austria only for internal group reasons. The German company behind Otto.de, for its part, is responsible only for Germany.
In general, you receive your reimbursement as normal. That means a Lyoness benefit based on the full purchase price less all gift cards, discounts, postage and packing costs. There is no problem, providing the online shop abroad (from your perspective) makes deliveries to your country. However, these foreign online retailers are not contractually obligated to pay the reimbursement.
We would like to point out that when you shop online at stores in other countries, you do so at your own risk. No goodwill reimbursement can be made if your purchase is not recorded at a loyalty merchant abroad. We therefore recommend that you shop only at online stores listed as being in your own country.
Some of our loyalty merchants are international companies that deliver their goods to many different countries. However, it is not always possible for them to present the contents of their web shops in your national language. We apologize for any inconvenience of a loyalty merchant not presenting the contents of its shop in your national language.
