The first construction work in the Lyoness Foundation San Roque Elementary School
25/10/2011On this first report, we would like to share that construction is on schedule and good progress is being made. Between the 15th of September and the 1st of October, the old buildings were demolished and the precarious, no longer functional water pump was excavated and renewed.
In the first rooms to be renovated, the electric work has been entirely completed and the walls have been plastered. Work is also underway in the other rooms and will be vigorously fulfilled by 26 workers, among which skilled carpenters, masons and electricians.
Carpenters were already able to make the first furnishings for practical and cozy classrooms. Particularly moving was the fact that teachers and parents insisted in giving their contribution by painting and varnishing the school desks and chairs.
