8.1. Where can I view my shopping benefits?
All your shopping benefits can be found in your personal Online Office on the Lyoness website.
8.2. 8.2.Why are transfers to my Purchase Account not always available within 24 hours?
In general with online booking the transfer will appear in the Lyoness account the next day. Depending on the bank, if the transfer is performed by means of a transfer slip, it may take longer. If, for example, you make a transfer today and it goes into the Lyoness account tomorrow, it may still be the case that this transaction will only be booked into your account the day after tomorrow. The reason for this is that the account statement for the day was not yet closed and the account statement is only available to Lyoness early the next day on Lyoness' Online Banking. Bearing this in mind, a transfer from a bank takes one day and it takes two days for it to appear on your Purchase Account. Once Lyoness has received the payment, it will be booked into your Purchase Account within two working days.
9.1. How does a Loyalty Merchant benefit from the shopping community?
A Loyalty Merchant benefits from an international pool of Members that is constantly growing through the efforts of classic marketing and word-of-mouth. Lyoness Members look for attractive and active Cashback Loyalty Merchants to make their purchases with, or to get a service from. The Loyalty Merchants will therefore get new customers, old customers will become active again, and existing customers will be retained – ensuring an increase in sales.
9.2. How is the Lyoness shopping network set-up in a country?
The cooperation with a Loyalty Merchant is negotiated and finalized exclusively by the international Key Account division. A Lyoness Member is not authorized to negotiate agreements with potential future Loyalty Merchants. The small and medium sized enterprises´ (SMEs) network will be built by so-called SME Coaches. Every Business Member that has confirmed Career Level 2 and has fulfilled other specific criteria may participate in SME Coach Training, which is free of charge and frequently offered in every country. After the successful completion and certification from the respective subsidiary, once approval has been received from the regional office, the SME Coach can submit SME proposals to the subsidiary responsible. The selection and contracting of Lyoness Online Loyalty Merchants will be carried out by Lyoness eBiz.
10.1. Will my personal data be used for marketing research purposes?
The personal data of a Lyoness Member will not be given to third parties and will only be used exclusively within the Lyoness Group. However, internal market research will be carried out by Lyoness to contribute to the improvement of Member related services and to assist in strategic decisions on how to get new Loyalty Merchants.
10.2. Why does Lyoness require my bank information?
The Lyoness principle is "money back with every purchase". This means that your money will be deposited directly into your bank account. If your bank information is not available, we cannot transfer funds to your account. Your current bank information may be added online in your personal Online Office.
11.1. How is an Accounting Unit generated?
An Accounting Unit is generated either through Loyalty Benefits (remaining discounts) from your purchases or through a Gift Card Down Payment for future purchases (Member Benefit/ total discount in advance) for a Gift Card order.
Down Payments/Partial Payments for Gift Card orders with Lyoness
11.2. What is a Down Payment/Partial Payment for Gift Card orders?
The amount paid represents a Down Payment/Partial Payment for Gift Card orders. This standard form of purchase (Down payment/partial payment + top-up payment = product or Gift Card value) can also be used in addition to other Lyoness shopping benefits.
A Lyoness Gift Card Down Payment for future purchases is neither an investment nor Loyalty Credit.
Lyoness does not carry out any type of financial transaction, neither in the field of investments nor in the field of deposits – and is therefore not a banking business. Making a Gift Card Down Payment for future purchases does not obligate you to start up a recommendation marketing business. Every Member may do so, if they wish. The possibility of making a down payment/ partial payment is offered by most companies nowadays. A Gift Card Down Payment for future purchase made with Lyoness is 100% identical to a down payment/ partial payment made directly with a company, without Lyoness. Only difference: a Gift Card Down Payment with Lyoness does not expire but remains available to the Member.
A Gift Card Down Payment represents the percentage Member Benefit (total discount) of the Original Gift Card Loyalty Merchant chosen by the Member. This Down Payment will be converted into an Accounting Unit of the same value, for example $ 75 (booking in Accounting Category 1). This means that even purchases not yet fully paid or orders in the form of a Gift Card Down Payment will be evaluated within the Accounting Program. For the Lyoness Accounting Program it does not make a difference how the Accounting Unit is originated – either through Loyalty Benefits or through a Gift Card Down Payment. In both cases, it is about the Member Benefit from the Loyalty Merchant that will be provided to all Members.
Note: It is not possible for the Gift Card Down Payment for future purchases to be refunded, as the Member Benefits have already been calculated and paid.
A Gift Card Down Payment with Lyoness is based on the same known principle of a regular down payment with the advantage of offering additional benefits to the Member.
Benefit 1: a Gift Card Down Payment made with Lyoness does not expire.
Benefit 2: A Gift Card Down Payment made with Lyoness will be converted into an Accounting Unit, booked in the Accounting Program and offers the possibility to generate Loyalty Credit through purchase revenues. This means additional funds for the Member´s future purchases.
Here is an example from everyday life:
- Example of a down payment WITHOUT Lyoness:
A consumer orders, for example, a product in the amount of $ 937.50 and wants to buy a new sofa. He pays 8% upfront – so $ 75 and the remaining 92% i.e. $ 862.50 upon picking up the product. This way, the product is fully paid for and belongs to the customer. Should the product not be picked up by the customer – for whatever reason – or if the customer decides to acquire another product in another store or in another sector, the down payment will normally remain with the original retailer to whom it was paid. The customer normally loses this down payment. - Example of a down payment WITH Lyoness:
Down payments for future purchases can also be made with Lyoness. In this case, they are referred to as Down Payments/Partial Payments for Gift Card orders. Let's stay with the same example of $ 75 for the new sofa. The difference: should the Member later decide – for whatever reason – that he or she no longer wants the sofa, the Member can use the Gift Card Down Payment for any other product or service from any Original Gift Card Loyalty Merchant at any time. A Gift Card Down Payment made with Lyoness remains valid.
Should the Member stick to his or her original purchase decision, everything proceeds in the usual way. If the Lyoness furniture Loyalty Partner, for example, grants 8% Member Benefit and the Member has made a Gift Card Down Payment in the amount of $ 75, the remaining payment or top-up payment is also $ 862.50. The remaining 92% will be acquired through Lyoness and the Member can pay the chosen Loyalty Merchant with these Gift Cards (Gift Cards in the amount of $ 937.50 = 100%).
The same example, this time with a Loyalty Merchant that grants a Member Benefit of 5% to Lyoness Members. The amount of the Gift Card Down Payment is $ 75 (this represents the Member Benefit of 5%). Thus, 5% of the product´s value has been paid by the Member. Now, if the Member makes a Gift Card top-up payment covering the remaining 95% i.e. $ 1,425.00, he will receive from Lyoness the total amount of $ 1,500 in Gift Cards from one Loyalty Merchant of their choice and may then proceed with their purchase (Gift Cards in the amount of $ 1,500 = 100%).
The Member uses the Member Benefits purposefully at Lyoness Loyalty Merchants and can also (doesn´t have to) give these to others. The Member can now generate $ 675 Loyalty Credit through subsequent Loyalty Benefits or Member Benefits - new funds for purchases that Members can use at Loyalty Merchants for purchases (for example, order Gift Cards or Mobile Cashback via the Smartphone). This means that every Gift Card Down Payment is always associated to a purchase and sooner or later it will always result in sales revenues at Lyoness Loyalty Merchants
11.3. What is Re-Cash?
With the Re-Cash option, all Gift Card Down Payments that have been activated for Re-Cash (possible in all ACs) will continually be brought to pay out through the Member´s purchases. In this case, all remaining discounts (Loyalty Benefits) with the exception of direct and indirect Friendship Bonuses will go into the Member´s private account, instead of going into the Member´s Loyalty Program. This will continue until the down payment amount (of, for example, $ 75) has been reached.
11.4. What does it mean to be a Premium Member?
Members with a high volume of orders, usually also a Lyoness Loyalty Merchant, are referred to as Premium Members. Premium Members also have extra service support with the Lyoness Loyalty Program (Gold Cashback Card, Cashback Magazine etc.) and are the most active recommenders.
Based on the following order volume and fulfillment of the following requirements, a Member will become a Premium Member:
- Booked and fully paid Gift Card orders amounting to an accumulated sum of $ 30,000 or more within one year.
- A combination of paid orders and Gift Card Down Payment orders, for example $ 15,000 paid orders and one Gift Card Down Payment in the amount of $ 1,500 and paid and booked Gift Card Down Payment in the amount of $ 1,500 etc.
- Booked Down Payments/ Partial Payments for Gift Card orders in the sum of $ 3,000 (an order of this amount is referred to by Lyoness as a Premium Package; a Premium Package is nothing other than a Down Payments/ Partial Payments for Gift Card order in the amount of $ 3,000)
For details about Gift Card Down Payments refer to Point 11.2 of the FAQs.
Should the Member make a Down Payments/ Partial Payments for Gift Card orders exceeding the amount of $ 1,050 he or she will be contacted by the Lyoness Service Center to clarify whether the nature of a down payment was actually understood. Only once the checklist has been successfully completed, the Member´s Gift Card Down Payment will be accepted.
11.5. Can a Premium Member also receive their Friendship Bonus and Cashback Bonus?
Every Member receives Cashback from their own purchases and Friendship Bonus exclusively from their recommended direct and indirect Members.

The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation is a charitable institution based in Switzerland which is dedicated to the support and assistance of children and families in need, particularly in the area of education. In comparison to other charitable organizations, associations and foundations, the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation operates independently from political and business contributions as an independent organization that chooses, finances and implements its own projects.
12.2. Who is in charge of the Lyoness Child & Family Foundation?

It is also possible for you to make donations to any Foundation project of your choice and to purchase merchandising products at the Lyoness Online Store.
