The Lyoness shopping community is a globally successful and dynamic business development: This is one of the many reasons why more and more national and international companies are deciding to take part in the Lyoness Loyalty Program, thereby creating more acceptance points for your shopping. 

Just like everywhere else, in Australia the number of Members is constantly increasing. Australia is on the way to becoming one of the top Lyoness countries. 

Unfortunately, due to regular totally unacceptable behaviour by some individual Members, this positive development is being massively disrupted. Amongst other things, the misuse of the Lyoness logos on websites, printed promotional material and the like has happened several times recently. 

Below are a few examples of the misconduct: 

• Use of Loyalty Merchant logos
• Creation of own websites with Loyalty Merchant logos
• Distribution of pamphlets on the Loyalty Merchant company premises or in the car park
• Telephone calls being made to Loyalty Merchants, thereby disturbing the day to day business, instead of contacting the Lyoness Office in Sydney.
  

Due to the behaviour of these few Members the cooperation with a very important Loyalty Merchant for the Lyoness Community has been suspended immediately.
Some Members have repeatedly used the logo for the Harvey Norman Loyalty Merchant without prior approval by Lyoness and this is therefore a breach of regulations.
This is not a trivial matter. It is a major breach of copyright that will not be accepted or tolerated in any case. 

As a consequence of the negative events over the last few months, the cooperation with Harvey Norman has been temporarily suspended. 

Please remind your Lifeline that behaviour such as this, as well as disturbing the day-to-day business of a Loyalty Merchant branch, is absolutely prohibited. This negative development must be viewed as an alarm signal for the Lyoness Community! 

There is of course, no animosity between Lyoness and Harvey Norman – and we will attempt to re-establish this cooperation in the future, but we will let you know when we have further information. 

Important: If you still have Harvey Norman Gift Cards you can still use these to do your shopping as usual.  

Consequences for behaviour that is damaging to business 

A Lyoness Membership is completely free of charge for the benefit of the Community but there are a few associated rules. These rules are clearly set out in the Lyoness Member GTCs and are valid for all Members without exception.
Lyoness will deal with breaches of the terms and conditions even more vigorously than before: behaviour that is damaging to economically sustainable and long-term successful cooperations with the Loyalty Merchants cannot be accepted and is not one of the Lyoness Community values. 

Take on Responsibility as the Recommender 

To recommend something means to take on the responsibility: Please remind your Lifeline that behaviour such as this, as well as disturbing the day-to-day business of a Loyalty Merchant branch, is absolutely prohibited. To ensure a long and successful cooperation between Lyoness and the Loyalty Merchants any behaviour that is damaging to business will result in an immediate termination of the Membership – without warning and regardless of what Career Level the Member is in. In the case of a major breach of the regulations such as those mentioned above Lyoness also reserves the right to take action against the Members responsible. At the end of the day the shopping benefits for all Members are affected by the behaviour of a few Members.
