Lyoness contributes in providing the RTL Children with shelter by donating 500,000 Euros
21/11/2011Lyoness CEO Hubert Freidl offered a donation worth 500,000 euros to Birgit Schrowange, RTL Project Sponsor and Wolfram Kons, Moderator and General Director of the Foundation RTL/ RTL Charity, during the TV show “RTL Fund Raising Marathon – The help of the Stars” and with this Lyoness becomes for the first time this year, a partner of the RTL Fund Raising Marathon in their project that aims at providing children with a shelter. The RTL Children´s houses will be located in Berlin, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Munich and Cologne .
During the RTL live TV show “RTL Fund Raising Marathon – The Help of the Stars” which took place on the 17th of November 2011 in Cologne, many celebrities participated in sponsor the RTL project in addition to individual supporters who also contributed in the fund raising. The highlight of the show was when the Lyoness CEO Hubert Freidl presented a cheque worth 500,000 euros on behalf of the International Lyoness shopping community to Birgit Schrowange and Wolfram Kons.

For Lyoness, the commitment to providing the RTL Children with a “Home” goes in line with one of the fundamental aspects of the company´s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), “The Lyoness Child & Family Foundation”, a charity organization which aims at providing a better life for those who are in need.
The Child and Family Foundation has so far implemented 30 projects around the world to provide help to a total of 4,400 children and families in need. In addition to the donations and grants that the Lyoness Group provides to The Child and Family Foundation, the Foundation relies a great deal on the Lyoness International shopping community to raise funds for its projects as a percentage of the International shopping volume goes automatically to the Foundation.
